ArcelorMittal Eisenhüttenstadt and the Swedish tech company Wittra Networks AB have entered into a collaboration to improve production efficiency and accelerate digital transformation through the use of Wittra’s wireless IoT technology.
Wittra’s hybrid network combines multiple radio technologies and is specifically designed to operate in heavy and challenging industrial environments where wireless connectivity has traditionally been difficult to achieve. By enabling robust and reliable collection of sensor data and positioning in real time, ArcelorMittal gains new opportunities to optimize resources, reduce downtime, and strengthen data-driven decision-making.
As additional positive outcomes, the technology also contributes to enhanced data security and a safer working environment for employees through improved monitoring and early detection of anomalies.
